Yuting Joy Du, MFA
Yuting Joy Du is a metalsmith and jewelry designer from China. She was raised under the strict traditions of a conservative family in the whirlwind of a rapidly developing cultural society. This compelled Joy to explore these complex social circumstances in her work. In her series, Emotion in Hands, hand gestures offer playful commentary. Fingers and palms come to symbolize human nature and the colorful language that emerges from the hand.
