Nora Papageorgantis, BFA
Nora combines elements of the home into imaginative compositions on the body. She explores themes of domesticity, family life and comfort. In Homebody, a table leg is combined with knitting to become something transportive yet oddly familiar. The weight of the wood pulls on the knit element as it is worn around the neck, stretching the stitches and mimicking the pull of a well worn blanket. By capturing the comforts of the sense of safety that home can provide us, she creates an intimate wearable safe haven for our increasingly frightening world.
